Expressing The Unsaid Words

A dance showcase curated by Sibyl Sunitha brings in a whole new experience of Bharatanatyam to engage and build a connection between the artist and the audience.
Connection with dance has always been an enriching journey for Sibyl. Coming from a background of rich Indian culture and diversified art form, there have been endless opportunities to curate ideas that express the creative mind of the artist .The showcase will be a glimpse of how the artist's mind thinks. Sometimes the words that are expressed through actions are unsaid. This work will bridge a gap between the flowing expressions of an artist to the curious minds of the spectator.
Starting the showcase with a one on one conversation to understand deeply about
‘what is Bharatanatyam’?
Building a visual persona to connect with the audience, Hastas (Hand Gestures) will be used along with words to communicate. Then to paint a better picture on the audience's mind, Sibyl will take you through a beautifully written poem by Shakespear. As every Bharatanatyam recital starts by offering prayers to Lord Ganesha, the destroyer of all evils, Sibyl will be taking you into a musical and dance journey through movements. Finally ending the show with a salutation offering to the Lord of Dance - Nataraja.
Come join me this Saturday April 15th at Studio La Lola at 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm EST.
